Boycott Rupert Murdoch & MySpace.
If you must keep using MySpace, prevent Rupert Murdoch from receiving any revenue by blocking MySpace ads.
First, download Firefox .
Second, install the Adblock addon .
Finally, set up your filters. Every time you see an ad on MySpace, click the adblock tab and try to figure out how to filter it. Remember you can use * as a wildcard.
i.e. *ball will match:
football
tacoball
monkeysoupball
calvinball
and pretty much anything else that ends in ball.
It will not match ballnuts.
For that you would want a filter like *ball*.
Good filters that seem to get a lot of crap on MySpace are:
*.clickTag=*
*.tribalfusion.*
*.advertising.*
*.precisionclick.*
