I am a tom boy and a lady, all rolled up into one....Lady first... I grew up on the Cowlitz, Columbia, and Toutle Rivers, many lakes...all within a few miles of my home. My favorite thing to do is hang out by the river while my friends are fishing. I'm more of a rock hound, explorer, and camp "host". I am a canoe master, I enjoy hiking, target shooting, I love bowling, going to the movies, playing pool, going to the theatre, dinner with friends, and during it all, laughing and playing! (Well except the theatre, I know how to behave there, hence the lady side of me!) The best thing in my life right now is my three year old grandson who is unbelievable. I forgot what it was like to have a little one around again. True joy...(most of the time!)
PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME AND/OR PICTURE TO MY MAP!!!!!
----Well, if it's not a man playing his guitar and singing to me...then I guess I'll settle for whatever is on the radio! I love most kinds of music.THE PICTURE ABOVE gives you an idea the harsh weather I have to deal with on a daily basis!
I enjoy the suspense/thriller/twist at the end movies. The only movies I don't really care for, and can't sit through, are the B-rated horror movies with a bunch of stupid half-naked teenagers getting themselves killed off one at a time. One movie I could watch over and over is "What About Bob" with Bill Murray and Richard Dryfuss. It's just silly.I usually buy the DVDs so I can enjoy them and share them.
I won't lie to you, I love television! News in the morning, news if I go home after work. AMERICAN IDOL! I AM ONE OF THE 30 MILLION WHO WATCH...but have never voted. Letterman and Conan if I stay up that late.
As an English Literature major I read so many books for five straight years, it killed my desire to read for pleasure. Now I'm getting back into reading. I worked at a library for two years during college...books have been an important part of my life since the Dr. Seuss days. The house I grew up in had an enormous bookshelf all along the entire long wall of the recreation room filled with so many different hard cover books. Now when I go home for a visit, I'll take one off the shelf and just smell the old pages!
THE EVERYDAY POLITENESS IN ALL OF US, the trained professionals who are serving our country, my mom and dad for still being married and giving me a good foundation and an excellent childhood, and Abe Lincoln.MADE IN AMERICA, the great meltingpot...Norweigan, Irish, Danish, Welsh, Cherokee.Tributes to a few of the great people who ever walked the earth. First, (And don't laugh) Andy Gibb. My poster boy from when I was in Junior High School. I wrote so many fan letters to him and fell asleep looking at him every night. I even named my first son Andy. (He loves me for that! HAHA) Lady Diana, we shared the same coy smile Audrey Hepburn, the most lovely actress of all The sexiest older man ever, Sean Connery My favorite movie star of all time, James StewartIn loving memory of Russell Sprague, my step-daughter's husband...murdered in 2006 by a couple of thugs with an axe handle...one is behind bars for a very long time.Heath Ledger, an actor with much talent, his life cut too short. Another shocker...
