About Me

I'm an 8 year old KelpieX and Ernie is a 4 year old DingoX. We both live here in Mandurah at the family home. It's a great spot - close to the beach. When the folks aren't home I sometimes jump the fence and head down the beach for a paddle. Ernie can't join me because he lost his back right leg in a chicken fight. Ok - not really - he got hit by a passing car on his way down the beach. That hasn't stopped him though, he still charges hard like the rest of us. Faster than a greyhound. I really look up to him the way he's just battled through.We both love a good roll in the mud. When the folks take us out to the farm - there's not a cowpat in sight that hasn't been rolled in by us. It's good for the skin we're told. We just do it because it's fun to smell like something new. Chasing Roos is a great hobby of ours. Ernie gets a bit overexcited sometimes when we're still in the car and launches himself from the window. I get a bit like that when there's cats around. Especially when the big hairy man says: "Where's the pussycat?" that really gets my hackles up.

My Interests

Playing Fetch. Paddling at the beach. Sorting laundry. Socks and stuff not worth playing with. Digging holes in the yard. Burying dinner for "later".

I'd like to meet:

Like-minded dogs who enjoy long runs on the beach. Playing fetch, and dogs who don't eat out of other dogs bowls.

Music:

I really like the laid back kinda stuff. Nothing too loud. I'm a bit skittish around loud noises. Ernie loves to dance though. Give him a bit of Chemical Brothers and he's doing 360's like there's no tomorrow!

Movies:

Milo and Otis is Ernie and my favourite. We also enjoy Turner and Hooch, all of the Beethovens, Cats and Dogs, Benji, Lassie, Homeward Bound and Babe.

Television:

We used to like the Neighbours re-runs when Bouncer was in it. But he's gone now. We watch McLeod's Daughters and Krufts when it's on.

Heroes:

Ralph from the Muppet Show. That pooch can really get his piano on!!!

So I've got a little bit of a beef about dog beaches and non-dog beaches. What is the difference? The beaches both look the same to me, so why can't Ernie and I have a run on both? I'll tell you why. ...
