I was born in Palermo (Sicily) and grow up in Marsala.
I started playing music when I was 10: everyday I looked at the old piano in my granma's home and I couldn't resist to play it. That's why I decided to start an intense studying with my best teacher Giuseppe Lombardo.
After a seven-year course in classical music I graduated at the music school "Leonardo Da Vinci".
Either way during those years I also approached different kinds of music. I definitely felt in love with rock, progressive, metal sounds, so I decided to get in touch with keyboards and synths world.
I began to be involved in many rock projects, in particular I played as keybordist in some bands like Rerum Substantia and Nemesis.
At the same time I never stopped to sing my favourite rock songs, so in 1998 I founded my first cover band, Lighting Soul.
In the summer of 2001 I left Sicily and came to Bologna to study at the University of Law.
Wishing to learn a better singing technique, I started to get private lessons by soprano Mary Boschi.
In 2002 I met Kshatriya, who were searching for a singer and a keyboard player. One person, two players: that's me! After some months in composing and arranging our songs, we recorded a demo called "The inner journey". We performed many live shows and toured in Sicily through the whole summer. Some changes in line-up made us wait for almost two years before getting ready to record a new demo tape. Finally the new Kshatriya EP is about to be recorded next fall.
In march 2005 DreamSteel needed a keybordist to play some live shows. After that live experience I became a permanent member of the band and with them I recorded their third demo tape "The Flight Of A Butterlfy". An intense work in promoting our music, also with the collaboration of the new manager Lara Pibiri, we received some offers from Italian and foreign labels. In June we signed with My Kingdom Music: band and label will join forces with next studio album plus live shows to follow. The new album is currently scheduled to begin recording in September through October with a release date set for January 2008.
