About Me

I work hard and play even harder.
I love my family and friends.I used to define people and their success with what they had, their accomplishments, and goals. And I worked hard to reach my goals in order to measure up to that standard. Now I know that none of those matter unless the Lord is in the center of my life.Although I admit that I am still a work in progress and I am still guilty of judging others through my standards (but not as severely). I've always believed that you can't be just all talk, you have to follow through. I believe that we have to keep growing and learning. I've become more accepting; things don't always go the way I want them to. And when it doesn't it's ok because I know everything that happens has been filtered through the Lord's hands and He has allowed. He knows what's best for me (Proverbs 3:5-7). If I don't get what I want, (after a bit of sulking haha) I get excited because I know that what He has in store for me is so much more than what I can ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

Anything as long as it involves family and friends.

People with integrity.
You know how some people prefer "substance over style?" Well, I have both and I'd like to meet the same.

Music:

I listen and appreciate all genres of music. I grew up listening to Patti Austin, Basia, Anita Baker, Swing Out Sister, James Ingram, Frank Sinatra, etc. (get the picture?). My faves right now are Ceu (Brazilian singer), Tony Bennett (Duets), Sergio Mendes (Timeless), and of course Michael Buble's new cd (Call Me Irresponsible). I also like hiphop, rap, reggae, reggaeton.

Movies:

The American President, Primal Fear, A Time To Kill, The Godfather (All of them), Love Actually, Devil's Advocate, Bless the Child to name my top favorites

Television:

CSI, Law &; Order, Shark, Justice, Scrubs, What Not To Wear, and Chuck to name a few
