Ezra D. Hellafella has a varied background in the entertainment and music industries that enable him to perform different duties with in those sectors with great success.Growing up in the Bronx, New York and Lawrence, Mass gave Ezra an inner drive and hustle that is unmatched by many of his peers.The Boston University graduate began his grind as music director and main DJ at his school’s radio station. His personality on air and ability to network made his show a hit and made him a natural for the club promotion scene. Linking up with local promoters Ezra began pushing several college nights through out the city. With this experience and with the help of his business partner DeeJay DZ, Ezra decided to go into business for himself. While still in school Ezra and DZ formed G.C Ent., a marketing and promotional group that focused on Boston’s vast college community. Success in putting together several record release parties, meet and greets, college press, and other industry events established the duo as the go to team for labels, dj’s, and artists looking to make an impact on college campuses.Ezra’s next move was an internship at Boston’s number one radio station JAMN 94.5, his hard work paid off as his internship turned into a full time position within the station’s promotional department. Where his duties include event coordination, DJ-ing and MC-ing parties, and setting up promotional appearances.In January 2005 by coincidence Ezra came across the Def Jam college department. A chance call to the label to set up servicing allowed him to meet mentor and good friend Splif, who was looking to put together a college team within the company. The two spoke and soon Ezra was working with Island / Def Jam. The college department is made up of a group of young hustla’s who are making major moves throughout the country. DEF JAM COLLEGE..BREAKING RECORDS SINCE DAY 1…WE GETS BUSY !!!!Responding to a Myspace message for a host brought Ezra to his next endeavor. Hasta Abajo TV, a Boston based reggaeton and hip hop show was looking for a new host. A successful audition landed him the position as co host for the number one Latin movement on TV. HATV, brings you the hottest live performances, interviews, and videos from your favorite’s artists.After stepping away from the club scene for a while, Ezra linked up with Boston’s premiere promotional companies 6one7 Productions and 235 Entertainment. Working 4 solid nights Tuesdays at Rumor, Thursdays at Aria, Fridays at Pure, and Saturdays at Venu (HIT ME UP FOR GUESTLIST, TABLES, OR MORE INFO) Ezra continues to prove he is a man of many talents who excels at each.MC, DJ, Event Planner, Record Promoter, and just some one you should know, Ezra has that golden touch.
