I am here for Friends

About Me

Music is the number one thing in my life, without a doubt. Then football (Jets in particular), then all the other stuff. School, work, friends, stuff like that. I lived in Omaha, NE my whole life, and I finally left everything in September of 2005. Here I am in the Twin Cities. I go to school for Audio Engineering and I am absolutely loving it.
I play the saxophone as my number one instrument. I've been playing it since I was in 5th grade. I dropped it after high school, but I have decided to pick it back up, and I'm starting private lessons up again. (UPDATE: as expected... haven't started this and probably won't for a while)
I play the guitar, but I suck. I've been teaching myself how to play it, but I've been very unmotivated to become good at it, and I just can't grasp the basic idea of playing yet. I still put it in my lap and act like I know what I'm doing, but that's about as far as it goes.
And the last instrument I play is the piano. I had lessons way way way back when I was young, but that didn't last long. I didn't get very far with that, but since joining this school, I've picked up the will to become really good at the piano. I've been teaching myself with my spare time at school, and I feel like I'm getting decently good, so the next step for me is to get a good sized keyboard in my apartment and see what I can do with that. (UPDATE: I got the keyboard, but I haven't had time to even start teaching myself) (UPDATE AGAIN: OK, i've taught myself more now. I'm....decent so far)
Wait, there is one more instrument. I also have a full drum set in my car conveniently in front of me in the drivers seat. You can't see it, but I sure can, and I am awesome at playing them! Does that count as another instrument?
That's me. If you find anything interesting, let me know, if not, I guess have a good one.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would love to spend a day with Justin Furstenfeld. He's one of my few idols of todays music. Conan O'Brien would be a great guy to hang out with as well. Other than musicians or celebrities though, anyone that can keep me interested. I love meeting new people, and I am dying to meet anyone in the Twin Cities that knows Dredg, Blue October, or 10 Years.
If you are a fan any of those bands, please, send me a message. And if you don't know who they are, look them up, or ask me. If you like that style of music at all (alternative/indie rock), you'll love these bands. I can guarantee it. Think I'm wrong? Try me. I'll be able to find a song by each band that you will not be able to put down.
But back to the original question, I'd love to meet anyone in the TC.
