Lucky Soul Tattoo opened its doors in December, 2001 in Ansonia Ct. We at Lucky Soul strive to give you a friendly and comfortable atmosphere to help make your time spent with us all the more enjoyable. The artists at Lucky Soul are well versed in many styles of tattooing and are happy to take whatever time necessary to make sure you get the tattoo you're looking for. We encourage custom tattoo designs.
The shop requires that 16 and 17 year olds have proper identification and parents consent in order to get tattooed. - Please contact the shop for more info, 203-732-5825.

Jim has been tattooing since the dawn of man, and specializes in black & grey, portraiture and realism, drawing his influence from old world renaissance sculpture. He opened the shop back in 2001 with his wife Christy...and he is probably one of the nicest and humblest guys in the biz...
Tracey has been at Lucky Soul since the shop opened its doors back in 2001. She loves to do large scale color tattoos with intricate detail, and has recently found a fond appreciation for black & grey as well - so come on in with those large scale black & grey tattoos! Tracey is very inspired by art nouveau, specifically the art of Alhponse Mucha.
Mark comes to us from Boston, Mass. He enjoys sinking his teeth into large scale color realism and has an eye for design placement. Ask him to do a horror related tattoo and he is like a kid in a candy shop!
Angel is our newest addition to the shop, he started with us in early June and is able to hook you up with that sweet tattie youv'e been itching for! Check out his work below in our top friends!

Even with the masses being more accepting these days of tattoos, there is still a bit of a stigma attached to those who sport ink, and even more, to those who sling it. That's why the environment of the tattoo shop is essential. Nobody wants to sit in an unattractive, dentist office-type atmosphere. And who wants to wait in a cesspool either? Back in 2001, Lucky Soul Tattoo owners Jim and Christy Lopresti had to get the Ansonia city ordinance changed in order to open their tattoo shop. Overcoming major bureaucratic hurdles like that allows one to be pretty laid-back with everything else that comes along. And that laid back attitude and relaxed atmosphere is felt as soon as you walk into the clean and fun little shop. Lucky Soul offers top-notch needle work in both the tattoo and piercing arenas. No pressures, no worries. But enough outside observation. What do the folks who work there think makes the shop a winner? "When someone comes to you and wants something personal," smiles Tracey Sciarra. "When you get to create, that makes me pretty happy." "And the freedom," adds Jim. "Plus the flexibilty," says Christy. "And that [people are] psyched," grins piercer Margaret Milano. All good reasons for a Readers Poll win.
