MAD CHICKENS

Le MAD CHICKENS nascono ad AVEZZANO in provincia dI L'AQUILA nel 2004, il gruppo comincia a suonare cover di gruppi come: NIRVANA,VERDENA, SONIC YOUTH,MELVINS,ecc ecc... La formazione subisce dei cambiamenti di line up e tra il 2005/2006 con una line-up differente da quella attuale registra in presa diretta una DEMO dal titolo "GOODBYE BUTTERLY" di 3 tracce,che poi spedisce alla JESTRAI RECORDS;il demo ha riscosso critiche favorevoli per cui viene inserito dal musicista JINXI nella sezione "ascolti demo". A causa di vari problemi il gruppo rimane fermo per alcuni mesi quando in Aprile 2007 entrano nel gruppo MariaTeresa al basso e Laura alla chitarra. Con questa LINE-UP la BAND compone nuovi brani e a Giugno prende contatti con il produttore LEANDRO PARTENZA della LADYMUSICRECORDS, il quale interessato al loro sound propone un contratto,cosicchè in Agosto le MAD CHICKENS con la direzione artistica appunto di LEANDRO PARTENZA,entrano nell' ANIMAL HOUSE STUDIO di Ferrara ( studio di registrazione dove hanno registrato il cd di debutto i Kilt ) e registrano il loro primo EP,che riprende il titolo della demo. L' EP in questione uscirà nel mese di Gennaio 2008 con la promozione della LADYMUSICRECORDS e in distribuzione con LADYMUSICDISTRO. Inoltre la band nel mese di Agosto ha anche partecipato ad un grande evento di nome MUSIC VILLAGE,che si ripete annualmente. Ora la band sta lavorando sui nuovi brani e ad Gennaio inizierà per loro un tour promozionale che le vedrà impegnate per tutta la stagione invernale.
The MAD CHICKENS were born in Avezzano (in the district of L’Aquila) in 2004 the band started playing covers of NIRVANA, VERDENA, SONYC YOUTH,MELVINS and so on…the line up endured some changes and between the 2005 and the 2006 the band (with a different line-up from the present one)recorded its first DEMO called “GOODBYE BUTTERFLY”, made up of 3 tracks, which sent to the JESTRAI RECORDS. The demo praised favourable remarks and so it was put in the selection “demos listening”. Due to several problems the band stopped for some months but in April 2007 joined into the band Maria Teresa as bassist and Laura as guitarist. With this LINE-UP the BAND composed new songs and in June they got in touch with the producer LEANDRO PARTENZA of the LADYMUSICRECORDS, whom interested in their sound, proposed them a contract, therefore in August the MAD CHICKENS under the artistic direction of LEANDRO PARTENZA , entered in the ANIMAL HOUSE STUDIO in Ferrara( studio where “Kilt” recorded their debut album) and recorded their first EP which has the same title of the demo. This EP will be put on sale in January 2008 with the promotion of LADYMUSICRECORDS and it will be distributed by LADIMUSICDISTRO. Furthermore in August the band took part in a great annual event called MUSIC VILLAGE. Now the band is working on new songs and in January will start their promotional tour which will take up them during the whole winter.
