About Me

I'm just a guy trying to run a little marketing consulting business, raise some kids best I can in a crazy world, keep my sanity, find some balance, and still find time to listen to the radio so I can tell Fall Out Boy from Hilary Duff-- all in an effort to prevent the embarrassment of a hapless child next to me discovering me humming the wrong song in a line at the bank some day...

Can Design Make You Happy?

Stefan Sagmeister, Designer of CD covers for Rolling Stones, Talking Heads and others, talks about how great design can make us happier...
Too lazy to follow the link and want the summary?
"Complaining is silly. Either act or forget. Thinking life will be better in the future is stupid. I have to live now. Being not truthful works against me. Helping other people helps me. That's One Way to Look At It...

I'd like to meet:

Between the Wars video from the 1986 album "Back to Basics". I bought this when attending Schiller Univ in London. I don't agree with everything Bragg sings about, but this song hits hard on issues that seem to resonate in Cleveland's own past--suffering under the demise of the steel industry--and he's a thoughtful songwriter with as distinctive a voice and songwriting flair as Bob Dylan.

Music:

Kansas, OMD, Bare Naked Ladies, instrumental jazz, 80s era progressive rock. And some others as it occurs to me...
