With The Punk Rock Extravaganza being one of the most popular punk bands in the world today, it's obviously pretty clear that they know what they are doing in the business. In the short time they have been around, they have played with Van Halen, ZZ Top, Led Zepplin, The Ramones, The Clash, The Misfits, GG Allin, Not Quite A Cadaver, Knights Of The Abyss, headlined the main stage on Vans Warped Tour 3 years in a row, and countless others. They have released a very rare and very expensive 5 song demo in early 2005, only to be followed with one of the best selling punk albums entitled "The Flesh Eating Toilet Critters", which came out only a few months after the demo. They have toured the world, seen things most people on dream of, and continue to do so today.
Though their fanbase is the biggest in the UK, the US is not far behind in the following of this legendary band. As a matter of fact, The Punk Rock Extravaganza was created in the United States. Though, not getting the shows or publicity they wanted, they flew to the UK and started performing in underground punk clubs. Soon the word started to spread of such chaos that no one had ever seen before. The clubs that usually held 100-200 people were selling out and riots broke out during the show in anger due to not being able to get in. There were a few fatalities that occurred during these times but there was nothing The Punk Rock Extravaganza could do. They had no way of knowing that they were going to become so famous, that people would actually kill, to see their shows. Once this happend, they decided to take a break and come back to America to let things cool down in the UK. By this time, they had completely sold everything they had merch wise. They continued to have things reprinted and in just a of months, they had sold over $500,000 in shirts alone.
Back in America, The Punk Rock Extravaganza had taken themselves out of the spot light for a bit. They decided they wanted to take time off and enjoy life. Now being millionaires, they had started to live the dreams they have always had. Finally, after about 6 months of nothing, not even an interview from the band, The Punk Rock Extravaganza is back and stronger than ever. They have announced that they will be recording a new CD, releasing a DVD, coming out with new t-shirts, and there have been rumors of them meeting with show promoters. One can only hope that they are planning something big. Until then....
