I love to explore San Francisco with Nes. I'm interested in empowering my hightest potential, in being a learner for life, in expanding my horizons, in effecting change, in having great adventures, in being surrounded by people I'm crazy about, in asking questions, in never having a dull moment, in being comfortable in silence, in observing, in far-off lands, in in wandering through book stores, in having great conversations, in dancing my heart out and in enjoying life. Among other things, of course!
For me, Myspace is about reconnecting with old friends and a good means to stay in touch. Also, I enjoy seeing people's pictures and how they describe themselves in their profiles!Save The World - One Click At A Time!

Most of the time, I'm listening to latin music, mostly salsa, merengue, tango (crazy for Gotan Project!)...The list is expansive and I have a stellar collection! I love drum and bass and world rhythms fused with interesting beats. I'm a fan of DMB, David Gray, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Counting Crows, Sarah McLaughlan, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Sacre Bleu, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Mala Rodriguez, Juan Luis Guerra, Manu Chao, Juanes, Gypsy Kings... I love the "oldies": Joan Baez (the Magnificent), Moody Blues, CCR, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Three Dog Night, Simon and Garfunkel... I love jazz and Harry Connick Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Etta James. I love opera and classical music and seeing it live really moves me. Here's what I don't like:Pop music from the '80s (or pop music at all, actually...), with the exception of a few songs. Heavy metal and country never sit well with me. After many years, I'm still a fan the now-defunct Rustic Overtones, now Paranoid Social Club, from Porland, Maine. My tastes are broad.

The works of John Irving, Isabelle Allende, Paulo Coehelo, Ernest Hemingway, Barbara Kingsolver... I've been really into Jodi Picoult lately and have read all 14 of her books. Some other favorites: Shadow of the Wind, Catcher in the Rye, The Bean Trees, Cold Sassy Tree, Youth in Revolt, The Education of Little Tree, The Little Prince, Paula, A Widow for One Year, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, The Alchemist, The Right Stuff, Cien Sonetos de Amor, God-Shaped Hole, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, The Historian, 1906...There are too many to name. I can't live anywhere without my books. I love creative, lyrical, humorous, honest writing, be it fiction or non fiction. I've been on a historical fiction kick lately. I just love words and have a book with me at all times!
My mother, my father, and anyone who stands up and doggedly pursues truth, equality and peace. **"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others."-Audrey Hepburn
