About Me

Born in São Sebastião do Paraíso (MG) – Brazil, IN Septembrt, 1988, Daniel Piquê began his music classes when was 6th. However he always have been playing the piano easily, he lately became fascinated by the guitar and didn’t separated from it anymore. He always had an auto-teaching personality, but never denied having classes with experienced musicians. After a Stanley Jordan’s show, for example, Daniel criated a very beautiful composition, using the technique of such guitar player does.

In 2002, he improved his studies in Santos (SP) with Miguel Mega. In 2003/2004, he went to Franca (SP) to have guitar classes with Diego Figueiredo and, in 2005, went to Ribeirão Preto (SP). He also has been studying with Silas Fernandes ins fast classes (IGT-São Paulo), and workshops with many renomated musicians, also including Kiko Loureiro, Richie Kotzen, Edu Ardanuy, Mozart Mello, Flávio Gutok, Eric Martin and the famous luthier Seizi Tagima.

In 2007, your Demo CD was praised for an important national magazine (Cover Guitarra), and an important musical critic named Regis Tadeu wrote a rave review praising Daniel’s works and beting in his hopeful future. Daniel’s works was also in the jacket of the Musicians Anuary, printed by HMP Editor, that has a lot of copies distributed on Expomusic 2007 and all around the country. Until in 2007, was invited to write on the gratest national Portal of Learning Guitar Online (Mestres da Guitarra), so he wrote for many months about Technics and Harmony.

Daniel also made an documentary about Guitars, by the West Paulista University - UNOESTE, with a partnership of Seizi Tagima and Rafael Pio, when he was director, scripter and editor, being congratulated by Music Masters and Music PHDs.

He graduated in Phonograph Productions in December 2007 by the West Paulista University - UNOESTE in Presidente Prudente city (SP), when was only 19 years old.

Early in 2008, he joined the Takamine Group beside greats musicians like Kiko Loureiro (Angra), Felipe Andreoli (Angra), Gilberto Gil, John Scofield, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Stwart, Glenn Frey (Eagles), and others.

He was invited to join the Victoria (Heavy Metal band), that has some times included Bill Hudson (Cellador), Fábio Laguna (Angra, Hangar, Freakeys, TimeOut, Almah) and Fernando Giovanetti (Aquaria).

Daniel is, certainly, the new revelation of the international music, having concepts, personality and an unique interpretation. He has a large experience in studios, like free-lancer, and many “demo” records in smalls, mediuns or big studios, like Bebop (São Paulo), Na Cena Stúdios (São Paulo), Norcal (São Paulo). He also has experiences in DVD records, baseated in his own DVD-Release, when he had an opportunity to direct, produce, set-up and after-product.

He’s life was ever music. His musical tastes was ever careful. When he was a child, he’s been listening Jazz, and Brasilian Pop Music too, mainly the Clube da Esquina, Minas Gerais Music. He grew-up liking the harmony and dissonances of a very good music. He’s an instrumental composer, with many qualified musics and an advanced level, using techniques like tapping, sleps, bending, etc.
