About Me

This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5 Primarily I point lights and cameras at people and things for money...constant traveler with stuff spread from coast to coast to coast (if you consider Texas a third coast), photographer (for more pictures see... http://www.flickr.com/photos/fhunterjones), love late nights, work late, sleep late...I don't hide that I'm a little twisted and goofy. I like to surf the line between inspiration and just a little weird. I wanna see you squirm in a fit of mild discomfort and confusion followed by smiles and relaxtion. I try to push the limits of acceptable behavior without being obnoxious. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed. Most of all, I respect kindness, understanding and tolerance. I can't tolerate those that are intolerant. I am prejudice against prejudicial people. "Is that an oxy-'moron'?" What did you call me? I want to fix the world but I'll settle for fixing something smaller for now while I work on my "world fixing" laboratory. Now accepting applications! I am pretty sure the earth is round so...social conservatives, please adjust your applications accordingly.

My Interests

Traveling, doing the extraordinary things (and the stupid), people who don't take themselves too seriously (and humorously listening to those who do), taking pictures (and leaving them), playing with cats (and dogs), building rock walls (not really into knocking them over), being outside (and hiding inside), lighting bonfires and fireworks (having to use a fire extinguisher), splitting my skin (getting stitches) and oh yeah...beer, wine and Bloody Mary's are an excellent accent to the above activities. Not sure if 'bloody mary' should be capitalized, but mine should be!water-skiing, wake-boarding, snow-skiing, snow-boarding, roller-blading (half pipe & street) soccer, hockey, rockclimbing, frisbee, mtn biking, cross-country wine tasting and couch-holder-downer.

I'd like to meet:

someone who has something to say, especially those from other countries, cultures and religions, radical thinkers, open minds, confused, borderline crazy people firm in their thinking but willing to listen, I like heated but civil discussions about religion, philosophy, politics, history as well as the mundane. I think I am as smart as I am stupid, but I'm not sure

Music:

Began listening to classic rock, funk and jazz. Still like those but I really dig spinning trance, breakbeat, tribal and dark house. (Freestylers, Sasha n Digweed, Hybrid, Plump DJ's, Meat Katie, Anthony Pappas, Underworld, Adam Freeland, Rabbit in the Moon, Crystal Method, Propellerheads, Eat Static, William Orbit, Uberzone, Nick Warren). Still love my staples: The Cure, New Order, The Smiths, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Bowie, Thrill Kill Cult, Rev. Co., Front 242, Rob Zombie, Smashing Pumpkins (I love doing that), Death in Vegas, Cabaret Voltaire, 808 State, Chris & Cosey, Xymox, Cocteau Twins, Skinny Puppy, Michael Franti/Spearhead, Peter Gabriel

Movies:

Cohen Brothers movies (Raising Arizona, Big Lebowski, Hudsucker Proxy, Fargo, O' Brother Where Art thou?), Terry Gilliam movies (Brazil, Time Bandits, Adventures of Baron Munchausen), At Play in the Fields of the Lord, Jacob's Ladder, Man Facing Southeast, Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare before Christmas, Ed Wood, Beetlejuice) Napolean Dynamite, Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), Full Metal Jacket, Blade Runner, The Wall, Fight Club, Pi, Rush, Return of the Pink Panther, North by Northwest, Snatch, Death to Smoochy, Old School, Three O'Clock High, Life of Brian, Shaun of the Dead

Television:

Family Guy, Chapelle's show, 60 Minutes, Simpson's, CNN all day (since Crossfire ceased), curb your enthusiasm, Daily Show, Larry Sanders, Young Ones, Dr. Katz, Robot Chicken, House

Books:

mostly non-fiction, science/astronomy and philosophy/religion. favorite fiction author...Kurt Vonnegut

Heroes:

Ben Franklin, Galileo, Timothy Leary, Gandhi, MLK, FDR, Nelson Mandela, Da Vinci, Dali, Columbus, Nietzsche, Terence McKenna, Deepok Chopra, Stephen Hawking the Dalai Lama and those who do what is not easy...in the words of Tim Leary, "Cyberpunks". Also huge fan of George Carlin, Bill Maher and John Stewart but not sure if 'hero' is the right word for them.
