About Me

There is so much to tell about me. Where do I begin?Well lots of change lately. I left Trinity in early October and decided to go travel nursing. I am currently assigned to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am assigned to the Emergency Department. I love it here so far. The people are great, and I really like the hospital and my coworkers. Baton Rouge is an interesting city, and it is close to New Orleans! So that rocks. After Christmas I plan to begin working part time for East Baton Rouge Parrish Emergency Medical Services.....so that should be an experience as well; but I'm looking forward to that.Well, I am from Georgia but I am based in Birmingham now. Been in Birmingham for about six years. I work full time as an RN and part time as a firefighter / paramedic. I'm working on my 3rd degree now. I have a wide variety of interests and I am always willing to try something new.There is lots to learn and lots to know. I'd love to share more with you. HIKING, CAMPING, FISHING, SAILING, DANCING, COOKING, TRAVEL, INDEPENDENT FILMS / FILM FESTIVAL, SCUBA DIVING, HAM RADIO, COMMUNICATIONS, EMS, FIRE / RESCUE, EMA, COAST GUARD, and too many others to list! Maybe I'll develop a new interest when you share one of yours with me?!?

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone who is decent and fun and interesting. I am always out to meet new people and make new friends. Never know what kinda experiences you are going to gain from meeting someone new.If you are in the Birmingham, Baton Rouge, or New Orleans area and looking to meet someone new and different, then hit me up and lets talk!

Music:

I listen to just about anything other than gangsta rap and really sappy country and heavy metal.

Movies:

My favorite movies of all time are "What Dreams May Come" and "Sister Act". Of course other faves are "Too Wong Foo", "Steel Magnolias", "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", "Beautiful Thing". I also especially enjoy independent films and film festival films.

Television:

I very rarely watch any TV. However, the series called The 4400 is quite interesting, and I've found time to watch the first three seasons of it and Brian and I have been watching Desperate Housewives and it rocks. I also have been watching the seasons of Star Trek Voyager, and I reallly like that show.
