About Me

"That voice telling you to stop must be treated with suspicion." -- Ranulph Fiennes

I took the picture that's in the background of this page in the desert last year. It's one of my favorite pictures in which I've ever been in my life.

I have a 14 year brother. He's way too cool for Myspace.

And I'm in this for about 10 seconds. The Burg: Episode 104 - Project . That leaves me with 14:50 to go.

My Interests

Pointing and laughing, teaching my little brother how to be cool like me. Surfing, skiing, snowboarding, getting out of the big city once in a while.

I'd like to meet:

My old landlord. In a dark alley.
People who want to get the hell out of New York once in a while and ski/surf/whatever.

Music:

My iPod's battery sucks

Movies:

Lone Star, L.A. Confidential, Breaking Away, Chinatown, Wings of Desire, Gattaca, anything (well, all three things) by White Stillman, The Great Escape, Apocalypse Now, M.A.S.H., Full Metal Jacket, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Godfather, Second Thoughts, City of God, What About Bob, Groundhog Day, Wild Things (for Bill Murray's great performance, of course),When We Were Kings, Star Wars, Vertigo, Saturday Night Fever, History of the World Part I, 12 Monkeys, Dr. Strangelove, Super Troopers, All the President's Men (it's what I do)

Television:

Pretty much everything on HBO

Books:

Goodbye, Columbus, and anything else by Philip Roth, The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band by Neil Strauss, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, I just finished the Assassins' Gate by George Packer.

Heroes:

There is a statue of a Buddha in my driveway
Rigid and stiff
That's where the birds shit
And he deserves it
Me, like a blade of grass
I bend profoundly
No raindrops on me
The wind blows 'round me

Barcelona (Apologies to Whit Stillman, R.I.P.)
