I'd like to meet:
Someone that can teach me to play drums like this:
Music:
pretty much anything thats not on the radio today. songs on the radio annoy me. i like songs that have more than 5 words in the lyrics and actually require some talent to sing. i like almost all genres of music. some of my favorite artist are: the beatles, mos def, nas, j5, the eagles, dixie chicks, air supply, sublime, b.i.g., common, tribe called quest, de la soul, dj shadow, james taylor, queen, the carpenters, the bee gees, red hot chili peppers... so im all over the place.
Movies:
i like movies that tell a good story and invoke you to use your mind or reflect on life. movies that leave you with a special feeling and may change the way you live your life. most horror movies annoy me because the characters always do something stupid. if i want to see stupid plots then ill watch snakes on a plane so i can actually laugh about it. but pointless funny movies are great too. so either something with a touching story or just plain hilarious.
Television:
i cant watch any of these new tv shows because they are all season long series and i dont want to get hooked. one day i hope to just sit down and watch 24, lost, the x-files, and all these shows from start to finish. my favorite show of all time is the wonder years. the voice-over narrator used to be pretty annoying when i was a kid, but now he makes a lot more sense. every episode takes you back to one of the good old days and you find yourself reliving your childhood through the show.
Books:
in school i only read books that were assigned for class. i haven't read a book on my own for a long time. i've heard that reading the same book over again at different stages in your life is a good way to see how you've grown, since the stories will have different meanings. so when i get the chance i plan to read all those classics that i had to read in high school again: great expectations, the sound of fury, death of a salesman, the odyssey, etc.
Heroes:
Binh Chung, Thanh Do, transformers, jason vu pham, jack hua, and rupland tran.
