About Me

Simply put...I'm a dork... I'm a bit obnoxious at times but it's ok b/c I'm an Italian from Chicago.. I like to smile and i like to make people smile.... I'm a bit on the sensitive side at times.... I've been known to throw a little sarcasm out there every now and then too.... HA!! I'm very passionate about the bonds I have created with my friends and my family means everything to me. I have the greatest friends that anyone could ask for...They are spread out all over the country and I rarely get to see them, but they are such a HUGE part of my life!!! I love Christmas songs and patriotic music!! I cry at the National Anthem... GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! I have the most amazing man who treats me the way that everyone would want to be treated... I don't know how I managed to be so fortunate! i love driving to LA to go to basketball games whenever i can get tickets and I love sitting around the house watching football on sundays.... I'm annoyed by people who use the words "your" and "you're" inappropriately... Also, I don't like when people blame others for things to make themselves look better.... People need to learn to own up to their shit... The world would be a better place.... I also get frustrated at people that think that the world owes them something... Suck it up and EARN what you want and deserve!!! I appreciate the little things in life and I LIKE EVERYONE UNTIL THEY GIVE ME A REASON NOT TO.... My momma taught me well...

My Interests

i love hanging out with my family and friends... even if we are doing nothing.... I enjoy going to the beach and playing horseshoes, bacci ball, drinking beer and playing volleyball... I play softball 4 nights a week and love to watch sports and go to games but I'll still go get a manicure/ pedicure every 2 weeks b/c I like to be girly....

I'd like to meet:

I've already met the man of my dreams BUT if I could meet one celebrity dead or alive it would have picked Frank Sinatra in his prime...

Music:

I don't like one specific type of music... i'm a big fan of a lot of things... Depends on my mood... If i'm cooking a big dinner, I listen to Italian music that I can't understand the words to... If i'm cleaning the house, I'll listen to some hip hop or house..... I love country music and rap.... I've got everything on my Ipod....A few artists that I can never get sick of listening to: Mary J. Blige, Sinatra, Tribe called quest, Toby Keith and The Beastie boys....

Movies:

I love the 80's!!! Typically I can watch a John Hughes flick and recite it word for word.... it can be annoying when watching my favorite movies.... Stand by Me is my all time favorite! Most of the time I will fall asleep right in the middle of a movie regardless if it's good or bad....

Television:

I love anything that I can laugh at.... I'm a big fan of funny sitcoms.... although, i do overdose on reality tv a bit much....

Books:

my all time favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie... Everyone should read that book along with "the Christmas shoes" These two books give you more of an appreciation for life...

Heroes:

my mom for being as strong and wonderful as she is.... my dad for always telling it like it is no matter how much it hurts to hear....my sister, Mary, for being such a great rolemodel.... my brother in law, mike, for putting up with my sisters driving.... (how DO you do it?) my uncle Tony for being such an extraordinary cook.... my nephew, Mickey, for joining the airforce... I couldn't be prouder.... my great aunt emily for never saying a bad word about anyone... She's 92, you KNOW its got to be hard to keep opinions to yourself at that age! my best friend, Marnie, for being the best friend that she can for so many people....my husband, Donny, who has the biggest heart and makes me smile everyday of the week....my niece, Katie, for being as determined as she is....my nephew, Johnny, for being so focused on his future.... my grandparents for being married 65 years this year, and all the men and women who serve for this country....
