I'm a musician, writer, and songwriter who's been lucky enough to have had a diverse path of musical experiences. In addition to playing with live acts ranging from blues (I play trombone) to industrial (I also play keyboard) I've written several of "strange tale" musicals (if you're curious, you can check out: The Last teaching of don Carlos ).After spending time as a DJ (on-air) for 93.7 KLBJ for a few years (1998-2001) in Austin, TX, I decided to go back to school to get a degree in Commercial Music Management to help turn my DBA record label (Bandwidth Records) into something a little more productive.Though my musical interests have mostly been in the heavy rock, industrial vein, I respect ANYONE who gets up on stage or produces an album and creates something listenable, reguardless of genre. For anyone that's curious, it's a quote from the CEO of Sony Music, Andrew Lack, who said "P2P stands for piracy to pornography ."Random personal stuff: I was born in New York, grew up in Houston, live in Austin and will be moving the Dallas. I was in the World Trade Centre the August 22nd before 9/11. My favorite color is red, due to a childhood brush with evil (see blog). I’m half black, (I know I look white; genetics can be a crazy thing sometimes). New York Pizza is the best, but good Chinese food is a close second. I am an avid student of religion and myth. When I’ve had enough to drink, I do pretty good impressions of Sean Connery and the ominous “Movie Voice”. I still love to make a woman smile (especially if she's wearing red.)
