El proyecto Híkuri inició con el propósito de fusionar elementos musicales de las mas diversas fronteras del globo con el dinamismo del rock alternativo, raíz de la cual proviene la banda, para así poder hacer más atractivo entre los jóvenes y público en general el acercarse a conocer un poco más sobre lo que la música con su influencia y sus fusiones han hecho en la cultura alrededor del mundo; en una primer etapa “Híkuri” nos presenta en su material discográfico titulado “Viaje del alma…”, el inicio de esta fusión multicultural, al incluir temas con influencia de la cultura Okinawense, Mexicana y Latina en general.Híkuri incluye en su producción temas que se han ganado el gusto tanto del publico mexicano como japonés, Híkuri ha logrado reconocimiento tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, en el ámbito nacional al participar en importantes eventos culturales y ferias nacionales así como en medios electrónicos e impresos de importancia nacional, y compartido escenario con importantes artistas nacionales y extranjeros; en el ámbito internacional, Híkuri es considerado como la primer banda en representar a la cultura méxico-japonesa (nikkei) en el país, al fusionar en su música elementos de ambos países, y al incluir en sus filas a un integrante originario de Okinawa Japón, así mismo La banda ha logrado que su música sea escuchada en ese país en 6 de las más importantes cadenas de radio, donde por mencionar un ejemplo, el programa “Far East Satellite” que presenta lo más nuevo y lo mejor de la música en aquel país, dedicara una emisión especial a presentar la música de la banda mexicana por primera vez en Japón, así mismo la presencia de la banda mexicana al lado del artista japonés Miyazawa en el festival Cervantino en octubre pasado ocasionó la presencia de los medios electrónicos e impresos de aquel país en el lugar. En este 2009 hikuri fue invitado a participar en un cd tributo a la famosa banda japonesa “the boom” liderada por Kazufumi miyzawa con motivo del 20 aniversario de la dicha agrupación en este cd tributo Hikuri participa con el tema “24 horas de viaje” o “24 jican no tabi” en japones, Hikuri comparte creditos con 21 artistas top de Japon por mencionar algunos “la Tokio ska paradise orchestra “, “begin”, “bird” entre muchos otros este cd doble salio a la venta el pasado 22 de julio y ya se encuentra disponible en diversos sitios en Internet y físicamente en tiendas en Japon, hikuri es la única banda no japonesa que ha tenido el honor de participar en este cd.Ver: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9y-49-en-70-3dz5.htmlAct ualmente Híkuri se encuentra trabajando ya en la preproducción e su nuevo material, el cual se pretende esté listo para la primavera del próximo 2010 dicho cd contará con la participación del reconocido productor regiomontano Adrian “rojo” Treviño y con este cd hikuri pretende enfocarse mas en el mercado mexicano.Además Híkuri cuenta ya con invitaciones a promocionar su material en otros países que van expandiendo los horizontes de la banda“de la isla canción remonta el vuelo cual ave y cruza el mar mi canto llevarás, de la isla y a todo el mundo di la tristeza que la guerra cual tormenta ya pasó”.(fragmento “canción de la isla”, Vers.
