About Me

"You should be kept in a box and studied." Vanity lacking self confidence, materialistic junk collector, doesn't always work well with others but is very eager to please. Would rather be prominent in a posse than an individual idol. Doesn't do stupid things to get attention. Leaves projects that could be great heaped in piles around the bed. Likes to dress up for special occasions. Likes to dress down and get dirty. Puts up with more than necessary and will run gauntlets for friends. Can be a pain in the ass. Born in Arlington, VA, spent most of my life in Alexandria, VA. Lived for two years in Alabama, one in Norway, passed the four year mark in Santa Barbara, CA and moved to OC early 2005. Moved back to Alexandria, VA spring 2007. Moved into NW DC during the winter months... Now what?

What philosophical archetype are you?
created with QuizFarm.com
You scored as Ubermensch

You are Friedrich Nietzscheâ€,,s ideal overman. Challenging conventional morality and beliefs you overcome the nihilism of a world without god by utilising the will-to-power to create your own values. An artist by nature you express yourself in a distinctly Dionysian (creative) way.

I'd like to meet:

People. Fe/male, other. People who like to do stuff. Do you like music? Art? Karaoke? Tea or coffee? I do! Maybe we can connect on that. Perhaps let's go do something that includes one or more of the above. Or something else might work, too.

Music:

The Pixies, Metric, Billy Holliday, Louie Armstrong, The Smiths, Crappy euro-pop dance groups like Infinity, The Dandy Warhols, "Take On Me" by A-HA, Dance Hall Crashers, Tchaikovsky, Murder City Devils, Dirty Pretty Things, The Clash, Ella Fitzgerald, Emily Haines, The Sex Pistols, "Love Your Money" by Daisy Chainsaw, "Don't Leave Me This Way" a la Thelma Houston, "Punk Rock Girl" by The Dead Milkmen, Creole music, Celtic music...

Movies:

The following are some of my fav's: Fight Club, Edward Scissor Hands, Amelie, The Nightmare before Christmas, Zoolander, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Snatch, House of Flying Daggers, Eternal Sunshine... there are more. Let me think about it.

Television:

Ummmmm cartoons. Home Movies, Family Guy, Futurama, Samurai Jack, Power Puff Girls, Ranma 1/2, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Rocco's Modern Life, FLCL, Teen Titans. Shows with real live people in them that I enjoy are Conan O'Brian, The Daily Show, old SNL reruns, Mr. Show, Arrested Development.

Books:

I like short stories... Examples of collections I've read and liked would be The Girl in the Flaming Skirt, Music for Chamelions, The Whole Story (and Other Stories).... and some more I can't remember the titles of.

Heroes:

Fangora from "Dummy." She isn't really a hero, but I admire her persistance and adaptability.

Say What?

It can be annoying sometimes when you hear someone say something but you didn't catch what it was they said, but it can also be the start of glorious philosophical ponderings. Let me give you an examp...
