About Me
Chris Moody
As a DJ and producer for close to two decades, Chris Moody has swarmed the music world locally and globally by transforming and crafting an old pastime of mixing music into his own, highly energized art form. Spinning house music and progressive tracks, Moody has worked with the most recognizable names in the business including Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez.
Hailing from Queens, NYC, Moody's earliest interest in music surfaced on his fourteenth birthday when his father – also a musician – handed him a set of turntables igniting his desire to become a DJ.
Moody soon embarked on a melodic mission working local clubs and parties while generating a reputation as a talented and dynamic artist that would gain him respect and forge his way into the music business.
By mixing at some of NYC’s most reputable dance clubs including Limelight, Roxy and Crobar – and holding down a four-year residency at the famed Webster Hall – Moody’s standing as a top-notch DJ emerged at the onset of his career, propelling him into collaborations with such prominent names in the industry as DJ Skribble.
Before long Moody and Skribble were producing the hottest Saturday night dance party on 103.5 KTU, booking internationally acclaimed DJs such as Pete Tong, Todd Terry, and Jellybean Benitez. A contagious success, Moody produced the Skribble show for two consecutive years, airing six nights a week.
But it was when Moody partnered up to produce with friend and fellow DJ, Adam Ruiz – better known as DJ Mada –that the young artist fused his creativity into club anthems such as “Blackout,†featured on Louie Devito's NYC Underground Volume 3 – which sold nearly one million copies.
Moody would later hook up with Devito to produce Deeper and Harder Volumes 2 & 3.
Today as a writer, producer and remixer, Moody’s triple-threat tactics have taken his musical vision and natural talent to the next level, erupting into a thriving career with his own enterprise, Sneakymood – a prevailing record company specializing in the production and promotion of the hottest DJs worldwide.
Lining up prospective clients Carl Cox, DeepDish, and Tiesto, Sneakymood has already trekked the party to sultry St. Maarten, where he has busted out into the tropical nightlife scene with a monthly residence at Bliss, the island’s most popular club.
By incorporating his past experiences into today’s dance music scene, Sneakymood has tied with Bliss and set the bar by proving it is not only essential to have a DJ who can play a crowd, but one who can also entertain masses of club goers.
Introducing venues across the world to over three hours of non-stop fist-pumping music, Go-Go dancers, fire breathers, CD and T-shirt giveaways, surprise celebrity performers and more, Sneakymood customizes each event by bringing every locale a distinctive experience.
“There are DJs who play for DJs. There are DJs who play for a specific crowd. I tend to focus on the creativity of the venue and town of where I’m playing,†Moody says of his main objective.
Mounting from the famed dance havens of NYC and hottest clubs in Miami Beach to Spain’s pulsating island of Ibiza, Moody’s track record of titillating universal audiences has intensified through Sneakymood as he presents fellow musical masterminds and amplifies the house experience to its utmost capacity.
