Thad Jackson is an army of one setting out to take over the airwaves, one listener at a time. Armed with an arsenal of hit songs filled with fun, catchy, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, this upbeat performer is ready to take his rightful place in the mainstream music scene.
The talented singer/songwriter plays guitar, piano/keyboards, bass and even some drums!
"I live, breathe, eat and sleep music. Not a day goes by that I don't create, whether it be a melody, hook, lyric or an entire song!" says the bubbly nineteen year old, "I've always got something new on the go."
Thad has been singing since he could talk. He would sing to himself, or his stuffed animals, ANY audience that he could find as a child. At nine years old, he grew tired of singing songs written by other people and started writing his own. By fifteen, he had his own guitar and had taught himself how to play. "I never really had formal lessons, for anything actually... I'm pretty much self-taught."
By chance, he decided to audition for a local musical, "Oliver!", and was chosen for a small role in the production. He then auditioned for "Grease" and was one of three candidates that were initially considered to play Danny. Unfortunately, Thad didn't receive the part. But then, in ninth grade, Thad became the youngest student in twelve years to receive a lead role in the school musical. He played Rip Page in the musical comedy "Gone With The Breeze".
And the rest is ancient history! Currently, Thad is writing and recording songs for his debut album, "Undefined", which is currently planned to be released as an independent record sometime in 2008. Unless of course, some lucky record company comes along and scoops him! Be sure to watch out for this rising star!
