Shame City

Quizás para definir el sonido de Shame City haría falta algo más que recurrir a la fácil etiqueta de Glam$Punk$Rock. Quizás resultaría más sencillo englobarlos dentro de algún movimiento reconocible si sus miembros contasen con algún antepasado vikingo o si sus orígenes se remontasen a algún oscuro momento de aquella fugaz escena angelina que tanto agonizó bajo el peso de los inefables años 90. Pero estamos en la ciudad de la vergüenza amigos... Hablar de la influencia del rock crudo setentero parece tan jodidamente fácil hoy en día que ya suena a tópico (y sin embargo ahí están MC5, STOOGES, NEW YORK DOLLS y demás machacando nuestros tímpanos cada vez que tocamos) Y si después de todo se nos sigue notando lo mucho que flipamos con L.A.GUNS, FASTER PUSSYCAT o JUNKYARD en su momento, a lo mejor es porque cuando algún eunuco depresivo con ínfulas de mito se destrozó las neuronas a bocajarro no se llevó las nuestras por el camino. ¿Han vuelto GUNS & ROSES o lo soñé ayer? Siempre hay esperanza para todo ¿no? y sobre todo para el rock and roll ¿Quién coño le iba a decir a MICHAEL MONROE que de nacer 20 años más tarde no habría tenido que mudarse a los USA? Afortunadamente el capo de los HANOI decidió regresar y hoy se codea con BACKYARD BABIES, HELLACOPTERS, TURBONEGRO.... ¿Quién le iba a decir que el cotarro se movería precisamente por el norte de Europa, que el auténtico rock & roll resurgiría de sus cenizas en tierras escandinavas con una Gibson colgada al hombro? Pero creo que ya empiezo a delirar ¿nosotros? ¿nuestro sonido e influencias? Bueno, quizás no necesite añadir nada más...I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

A lot of the people who knows our music usually say that we are a Glam$Punk$Rock band, and they are probably right because we can say that SHAME CITY is just that: a band with a lot of influences who shows too many styles and references on its music; from the raw rock & roll of the 70's bands just like The Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls, Ramones or the Dead Boys; and very influenced by the 80's L.A. scene commanded by Guns & Roses, Faster Pussycat, the L.A. Guns, Junkyard... (and we could talk about Mötley Crüe or the Hanoi Rocks too), SHAME CITY could be considered one more of the new rock & roll bands that come from the North of Europe, just like Backyard Babies, The Hellacopters, Maryslim, Hardcore Superstar, Turbonegro.... just play it loud........................................................ ..........
