A death metal/grindcore band from Kuala Lumpur, The Rotten Charles Manson was founded in early 2007 by vocalist Ahmad Arip (also vocalist for Hardcore Punk band from Terengganu, Killing Steward) and bassist Bob Azrin. The band later joins by Hafiz as guitarist and Midi as drummer. By the end of 2007, Midi left the band and the slot is fill by Wan Slatan (ex-R.E.D) who came at the right time just before their enter the studio for recording their first EP. They announced their arrival on February 2008 after release their first EP entitled Demolition of Extreme Period and played their first gig at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. On their first EP and on their early formed, the band take the melodic death metal ala Amon Amarth and Carcass (Swansong era) as their main influence. After Wan Slatan join the band, all other bandmates decide to change their music style to more extreme and brutal type of metal and take Vital Remains, Brutal Truth, Suffocation and Napalm Death as their major influence.
The band currently working and writing a few new brutal songs and hoping to release their second EP by the end of this year and along the way hoping to be invited to play at any gigs around South East Asia to support the Demolition of Extreme Period EP. On Mac 2008 the band set & agree to be under Muzik Box Production label and Muzik Box will be helping them to release their next EP that they both plan to release at the end of this year.
