The Garrison

Formed in 2001 in KL. Played their first gig in 2002 at Segamat. The first line up was Nabil (drums), El Pheng (vocal, guitars), K-Rul (bass) and Ijat (guitar).Then there were chopping and changing. Then in comes Botak of RootsRules.The band continued to plough in, then played some gig busuk in Klang. The line up even includes Irfan @ Chipan, now of The Times, at one time.The current line up are being assembled back in 2007. El Pheng(vocals,guitars), Sidh Clyde Jr(drums/percussions/vocals), Jie Riddimer(bass) & Kecick (guitars).The band plays Punk Rock(with Punk Philosophy, no fucking bloody pop shit marketing brand popular culture bastardization on yor media), Ruck n Rowl, Reggae Rock, and some..err.. Dub Reggae stuff. Some people in some quarters do call us black metal. Very interesting.Influences and Teladan are from the likes of The Clash/Big Audio Dynamite, King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, Dr.Alimantado, Michael Campbell aka Mikey Dread, + a bit of these: Stiff Little Fingers, Angelic Upstarts, Cock Sparrer, Buzzcocks, The Jam, J.Strummer & The Mescaleros, Carburetor Dung, Early Bob Marley, Kembara, P Ramlee, Ron Chopper Harris, Mokhtar Dahari and Pakcik I.S. Skudai. There are a lot more off course but let's leave that to your imagination when you heard us yourself.Listen to us if you want to and we do hope you wanted to unless something happens to you and you're vertically challenged to as not wanting and never want to. We tried our best, (although our best is not that good enough to someone else's best), to unscrew your left brain, brings every bit of you to be on the left so that the world would be much more colourful, meaningful and crowded with responsible and good attitude people.
