Tony Trigilio's recent books include the poetry collection, The Lama's English Lessons (Three Candles Press, 2006); the chapbook, Make a Joke and I Will Sigh and You Will Laugh and I Will Cry (e-chap, Scantily Clad Press, 2008); the critical book, Allen Ginsberg's Buddhist Poetics (Southern Illinois University Press, 2007); and, co-edited with Tim Prchal, the literature anthology (co-edited with Tim Prchal), Visions and Divisions: American Immigration Literature, 1870-1930 (Rutgers University Press, 2008).
He has taught since 1999 at Columbia College Chicago, where he directs the program in Creative Writing - Poetry. He also co-edits the poetry magazine Court Green .
