quiet til i get to know you, mostly happy, corset slut, bibliophile
ok - so a few friends have told me i should perhaps put a bit more info here than that...
i grew up in nyc (mid-town manhatten), i was terminally shy as a kid (and these days i'm only slightly less shy around strangers), i'm an old-school punk who turned into a club kid in the 80's (and luckily survived in spite of all the stupid things i did then), moved out of nyc my senior year in hs (and still miss home all the time), went to college in the middle of nowhere in pa then moved to baltimore with a friend and wound up staying in the Baltimore-DC area for almost 20 years now...
i have an undergrad degree in film/video with lots of writing and photography courses as well (after 3.5 years wasted as a pre-med then chem-e major), i'm all but thesis on a masters degree in theatre design (which i'll probably never finish - politics), i've worked all kinds of jobs including cocktail waitress as a teenager in nyc; waitron and bartender all over the place; office manager/job estimator for a construction company; retail (including home depot and managing an electronics boutique); company management, stage management, construction and design for dance and theatre groups; program manager for my college radio station; and currently as a manager for a commercial internet provider (bleh) - i really miss having a job where i get to be creative
hmmm... what else - i am married, but seperated, i still club whenever i can - usually at least twice a week - as it helps keep me sane to be able to go dance out my agressions and anger (some things never change), i love my friends (which is the main reason i stayed in the DC area so long), when on the east coast i attended pennsic but this year i'm going to burning man instead, i make period garb and club clothes (sometimes i even make money at this) and eventually hope to be able to quit my day job and work for myself designing and making clothes and perhaps doing theatre or film work on the side
to celebrate my birthday last october i moved to LA to live with friends but still own the house in md where the husband, and friends reside; i'm getting around on my motorcycle and really enjoying the weather out here and my friends are amazing; and my clothing company is in process of being trademarked so i can really get things off the ground
