My tastes in music varies quite a bit. I listen to mostly anything... rock, alternative, metal, hip hop, rap, dance, house, electronica of any sort, pop, oh and Madonna 'cause she gets her own category. ::grin:: Yes, I am one of those cliche gay guys that loves his Mama... Madonna that is. It's rather unexplainable as I can remember being fascinated from early childhood on. She just captivates me is all I can say. I got to see her in concert for the first and only time in my life in the summer of 2004 in Atlanta. For me that was a day in history. I have never screamed so much like a twelve year old girl in my life. I'm no singer either as I usually stick to the shower or driving which can be quite comical I'm sure but that night I was on stage with her as far as I was concerned. Ok enough of that obsession and on to the next. My favorite band is 311 hands down. Nick Hexum is incredibly hot and puts on one hell of a performance. If it were humanly possible and he were willing... I'd have his baby. ::snickers:: I also have a very deep love for The Dave Matthews Band as well. 311 trumps Dave for me but the two are pretty much the shit in my eyes.
My favorite actor is Tom Hanks so it only makes sense that my all time favorite movie, Forrest Gump , would have him in it. It features a few great Hollywood actors as well as skipping along through some of our country's most memorable moments in history. Simple put, it's put together amazingly well in my opinion.
My next favorite would have to be Cruel Intentions and not just because it features my future husband Ryan Phillippe . There are only two bad things about this movie. One, Sebastian dies at the end. ::sniffles:: Two, Ryan hooks up with Reese Witherspoon on the set of the movie only to eventually marry her and start a family. ::rolls eyes then laughs::
I don't usually have time to watch too much TV but when I do make time my first choice are premium cable shows and then educational series. A few of my favorite cable shows include The Sopranos , Six Feet Under , Deadwood , Entourage , Queer As Folk , The L Word , Sex In The City , and probably a couple more that don't come to mind at this moment. There's a new Showtime show that I'm interested in picking up and that's Weeds . It looks pretty entertaining to say the least. ::winks:: I have a fascination with all things technical so I love to watch the documentary or exploratory type shows that come on Discovery, The History Channel, and so on. Modern Marvels is my favorite at the moment. It's boring to some but it's cool stuff to me. :o)
As ignorant as this may make me seem I've never been one to hold much attention when it comes to reading. The older I get the more that changes but not enough to call myself an avid reader by any stretch. A good friend recently introduced me to a very interesting book about human cadavers. Sounds very morbid and I guess it is but you wouldn't believe some of the tales this woman has to tell.
