Jason Ramone

Jason Ramone played in the experimental punk band The Nads recording music and/or playing shows from 1997 to 2007. Over this time Jason has recorded over twenty DIY albums and The Nads have played over 160 shows. Jason has rocked out with some awesome bands and at some wicked venues across Ontario and Quebec, also playing on radio and on TV, and getting hundreds of thousands of plays on myspace. Jason Ramone is also a writer, and has been published in newspapers and magazines like Adbusters. Jason who still runs the Cornwall Underground, is also a DIY photographer for bands at shows and makes band videos for internet use. Now Jason Ramone has picked up an acoustic guitar, a red Washburn, and is teaching himself how to play, and rocking out at some Cornwall and Ottawa area shows throughout 2008.
In 2008 Jason Ramone played a Rock for Cure benefit April 12th at the Art Gallery and over $800 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society thanks to the excellent work of A Final Draw. On April 26th Jason Ramone rocked out with The Creeps and Visitors at Mavericks in Ottawa, celebrating Kevin Berger's Birthday Party Punk Show. Jason Ramone also played a show with Hail to Thee at Prime Times in Cornwall on May 25th, and a show that was suppose to headline I Wrestled A Bear Once at the Army Navy Club in June. Jason hit the road with A Final Draw and playing Canada Day July 1st at The New Bayou in Ottawa to an empty room. Jason is working on some out of town shows in Iroqouis, Brockville, and Alexandria. Jason Ramone plays Rock the Vote on Sunday July 27th @ Prime Time with fifteen other performances that same day. Jason Ramone has recorded some lo-fi demo songs, and six of them appear on this myspace. Jason Ramone albums, as well as merch from The Nads, and Cornwall Underground is available sometimes at Jason Ramone shows.
