I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

There was a little girl who had a little curlRight in the middle of her forehead; When she was good, she was very, very good,And when she was bad she was horrid.I'm in graduate school for library science at The College of St. Catherine. My current class load includes styling your hair into a tight bun, and shushing 101. I recently started working as a librarian and LOVE it. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

My Interests

books, gadgets, fashion, biking, high heel shoes, camping, booze, world peace, hot pants, taking things apart and then putting them back together again, apple orchards, Indian food, Ass Bruises the size of your hand. I played roller derby in the 2006 season of the MN Rollergirls, and mostly fell hard on my ass. Catch phrase, "Seriously, Dude, you HAVE to see my ASS bruise, it has a fish net burn on it!!" children's book illustrations, Vouge, Elle, hermits, naps, videogames, drive-in movies, ADVENTURE!!!, libraries, planetariums, cocktail hour...and lists meant to sum up your personality for the general perusal of strangers...

I'd like to meet:

I'm in a SUPER committed relationship (it wears spandex and fights crime.) I like my friends. They are people who think it's cooler to have fun than to be cool...People who read more than they watch television...People who are quick to smile. Hilariousness is always a plus, especially when tempered with kindness. They are as comfortable with a fab pair of heels and cocktails as they are with a tent and campfire. I enjoy people who enjoy local music, roller derby, horror movies (zombies are my particular favorite,) tattoos, Audrey Hepburn, napping, singing at piano bars, dancing like no one can see you, scraped knees, fairy tales, short skirts, the great outdoors, and video games.FYI: I'm not likely to add friends I haven't "spoken" to--In the most internety sense of the word. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just a strait shooter.

Music:

I LOVE PAUL NEWMAN!!!!!) Two Mules for Sister Sarah. Others such as; Battle Royal, Amelie, Spirited Away...Big Time documentary nerd; I love those Science Museum, Omni theater, I-maxy things. Especially if they are about space, the brain or the depths of the ocean..ok, ok, big time nerd. Period.

Etc. I've been reading a lot of non-fiction lately (which is newish for me, since graduating from college)...social justice, lingustics, culutral psych...that sort of thing. I was an English Major, and now I'm in the Library Biz. "Bookish."
