Neda Mohagheghi started playing the Santoor in 1995. For 5 years, she was taught by Noushin Merikhi, herself a pupil of the grand master Faramarz Payvar at the Honarestan in Tehran, Iran. During this time Neda already started performing with her teacher and later performed solo at events like the Expo 2000 and the Church Congresses 2004 und 2005 in Berlin and Hannover. Furthermore, she performed at the "Junges Theater Göttingen" the "Nörgelbuff" in Göttingen, and also at various private events. Her style is a blend of the traditional work of Faramarz Payvar and her own experimental creativity.
