embrace the madness, baby, its all i ask

About Me

I can't seem to walk and drink coffee at the same time without wearing it, I critically analyze everything, and I once was predicted to die in a riot that I organized. For all the ways to die, I figure it's not such a bad way to go.

in sum:

spastic. quirky. a loose cannon. grad student with the goal in mind to be overeducated and underemployed, while making quiet yet monumental social change. passionate. total scorpio. italian boi. without a sense of spatial distance. artistic in the photographic sense. drag king. music snob. walks in through the out door. doesn't drink beer - prefers whiskey. good whiskey. a social deconstructing walking contradiction. makes no excuses. maintains no thought cap. total dork. huge. self check-out lines at the grocer stress me out. often mistaken for a man, and totally comfortable with it. that said, enjoys the fluidity of the gender. looks for love in all the wrong places. all the wrong places. abhorrs labels. breaks stereotypes. loves to cook. tough like james dean but soft as mush. at times, a little too tender for my own good. can you dig it? You know you wanna...

My Interests

maps, queer theory, grassroots organizing, mix tapes, three piece suits, martinis, mohitos, femmes, high femmes, fagging out with my femmes, fagging out in general, the butch-femme dyad and history, bluegrass, drunk hipsters who cajole on my stoop, vacant lots, public policy, abandoned warehouses, beat poets, social deconstruction, striped button downs, ties and suspenders, black and white photography, the intersections of gender, sex, sexuality, and culture in media studies/theory, social documentary, bdsm, queer porn, mix tapes, harm reduction, winter air that makes my breath fog in front of my face, NPR, coffee, intellectual intercourse, dictionaries, fucking gender, maps, useless trivia, red wine, social justice, syringe exchange, pinot grigio, clean bodies and dirty minds, the Nation

I'd like to meet:

people that other people say are "too intense"

creatives. artists. drag performers. gender benders. generous millionaires. people who like (and want)to be photographed. eccentric fringe types. someone bigger than me who will walk through dark alleys at night where i like to take pictures. someone who will do my laundry. a partner in crime with a simultaneously evil and knowing glint in their eye.
