About Me

Thanks for dropping by my site!I was born in London, England not too long before that baby pic with my dad's guitar was taken (can you tell I was really getting in to it?)I grew up mostly in Minneapolis, Minnesota at height of it's pop/alternative rock music scene success (which might explain why I'm such big fan of Prince and Paul Westerberg/The Replacements). I had a fake ID so I could get in the clubs that Prince was playing in.With a natural talent for music inherited from my Dad (who passed away suddenly when I was a teenager), I eventually left to attend college in the center of the universe -- Murfreesboro, Tenneseee (The Boro). While in The Boro I had various odd jobs, including doorman at a influential rock club called Main Street when not studying for the Recording and Industry Management program at MTSU.Eventually I landed a gig at a major music publisher, MCA Music when we won Publisher of the Year.I'm fortunate to have great friends and a challenging new job in Nashville. Although I've had to overcome tremendous personal challenges (more on that later), with the help of my faith, I know the best days are yet to come...God Bless, Matt Lane Nashville, Tennessee....
