Greg is based in Tasmania is an intuitive percussionist and drum maker who has an awesome feel, is totally unique, and his drumming is absolutely contagious! He plays his own handcrafted percussion and drum kit.
All Gregs drums are carved from solid logs, cured then skun. Much love and respect goes into the making of each drum and the focus of that is one of the keys to turning out a great instument.
A variety of woods are used; blackwood, messmate, pine and varied hardwoods.
All drum shapes are created in the moment, as the wood is spinning and often changes so no two drums are the same...all totally unique.
A range of finishes are availiable. He preferrs 4 coats diluted two pack lacquer rubbed on by hand and hand buffed with wood wax. Yumm....it protects the wood but lets you feel its grain.
Greg's drums are for sale and special requests can be accommodated.Greg has perfomed for many years and happily exposes himself to many styles of music and people. Sharing the joys and his passion with other musicians and being open to go to that space continues to be one of his greatest assets.
