Origins

80's synth pop, new wave and rock. Depeche Mode, The Smiths and singer-songwriters have been the primary influences.

I make music without any preconceived ideas about how it is going to sound or who will listen. I do it for my own pleasure.

Method

I use free software (as in libre, not necessarily gratis) such as Ardour , JAMin, Hydrogen and ZynAddSubFx on Gentoo Linux to make music, not only because of the artistic and expressive freedom this offers, but also because of the socioeconomic, decidedly anti-commercial, implications of Free Software.

I play guitars, keyboards and sing, and do occasional audio programming.
