The Barramundies

THE BARRAMUNDIES have worked hard to rise above their humble beginnings in the Hospitality classroom. Ben, Brad and Mahalia began strawberry jamming (or was it raspberry?) with spatulas and various cookery unmentionables in May, 2007, which resulted in that strangely catchy single “One Way To Central”, also known as “Dirty Barramundie”. Upon recording this song, they realized that they lacked only one thing – a name. Drawing from the song (and a typo on Ben’s behalf), this crazy group soon became known collectively as THE BARRAMUNDIES. Many other songs quickly followed including a drunken cover of Britney Spears’ “Gimme More” and the strangely sexual “Cabanossi”. Later in the year, Caroline became a member of the group by association with the boys. With the band at full strength for the first time, photoshoots, lyrics and original music flourished. Their début album “Domination”, featuring songs such as “Arthouse” and “Domination” is due out later this year. THE BARRAMUNDIES have only one thing left to say;"Prepare for total DOMINATION!"
