I enjoy studying the Classics, tending to my Madame Isaac Pereire Roses and small intimate dinners with a few of my closest friends.

My Interests

When I was only eighteen I published a translation of Anacreon with commentary, I enjoy reading and horticulture. I like to dress in dark English suits and I wear tiny, old-fashioned glasses with round steel rims. I like to carry an umbrella and I can be a bit of a perfectionist. It is my aspiration to be a Platonic creature of pure rationality and that is why I am attracted to the Classics and particularly to the Greeks - all those high, cold ideas of beauty and perfection. Beauty is terror.

Movies:

I don't watch many movies although I did somewhat like Alfred Hitchcock's Rope. I remember watching it as a boy as I was layed up in bed after having been hit by a car.

Television:

I don't own a television.
