R D Jones is a bass player steeped in the American blues tradition. Starting out in Detroit MI, R D has worked with various blues artists in the area, including Johnny Yard Dog Jones, the Butler Twins, Harmonica Shah, and Mr Bo Collins. He also was the bass player in The Alligators and the Progresssive Blues Band.
Now relocated to Denver CO, Mr Jones performs with many blues acts in the Colorado Front Range, including the Shuffletones, Easy Bill and The Big Beat, and the Clam Daddys. He also has the esteemed honor of opening for B B King in October 2005 as a member of John-Alex Mason and the Pea Vine Line.
R D has also performed with Son Seals, Sonny Rhodes, Bob Margolin, Frankie Lee, Cash McCall, and The Sean Carney Band.
Although R D prefers to play blues music, he has been called upon to work in jazz, rock, soul, and country acts as well.
