The Soundalikes are one of the most amazing bands in the world today. The band were formed in Degerfors, Sweden a few years ago and have an original sound and a rich and varied production.Erik and Rikard blends classic songwriting with electronic music. The duo wants to challenge the listener with creative and inventive compositions, which combine 60s psychedelic pop and original soul & funk with electronic music. With its sheer diversity of influences is the record a sophisticated and decidedly unpolished production. All tracks are written, performed and produced by The Soundalikes."The Scene" is an emotional downtempo soul track and a farewell to the legendary club in Swinging London. It also pays homage to artists like Brian Wilson, Rod Argent and Booker T. It's an experimental yet accessible track with some live instrumentation. "Orbus Aeroplane" is inspired by Tangerine Dream, The Orb and drones of jet engines. "The Novation Generation" is like 70s Stevie Wonder meets electronic dance music. These three tracks are not meant to be singles. The Soundalikes have also written several pop-psych songs with vocals. Nearly 30 tracks have been recorded for a great debut album. The Soundalikes have been played on Swedish student radio included the largest, Radio AF, Lund University. Enjoy!
