About Me

Hello friends! Welcome to the Swift Cloud Drum myspace page. Thee most beloved Drum in the Bay Area. Here, you will find the latest happenings with us and commnunity events. We are looking forward to the 2008 Pow wow season. First our history. The Swift Cloud Drum is from San Jose, Ca and was formed in 1995 under the leadership of the late Tim Whiteweasel. He taught us the songs and the meaning behind the songs. And as in life, he was a good instructor in teaching six lads the "old school" Lakota sounds to bring forward the songs that we still sing to this day. Today, we have the second version of Swift Cloud. A Mach 2 as you will. With an entire new line up, we've been to just about every pow wow we can think off since returning back in 2005. And every other community event which we were called upon. There are alot of reasons why people sing. For us, it's only eleven brothers who live for the "good times" at pow wows. We live for the dancers who come out to the arena when we sing. And we also live for the Indian tacos too but that's another subject. As 2008 is here, I'm proud in what we accomplished since returning back. Swift Cloud Drum is grateful and honored to all powwow commitee's in the Bay Area and eslewhere who invited our drum be part of their festivities. Whether we were Host or Guest, it don't matter because we carry forth the "goodness" of a singer to every pow wow and will continue to do so. I wanna thank the members of Swift Cloud who brought the best to this drum and out of me too. They will always be true heart singers with nothing but respect, compassion, and laughs, through the years and I could never thank these gentlemen enough. Thank you all, Billy
