About Me

I grew up mainly in Alabama, and have been writing since I was a teenager. My first published books were the Shielder series, SF romance, and won quite a few awards, including a RITA nomination for best paranormal romance.

My newest Sentinel series is set on current-day Earth and is based on Atlantis. I live in the Dallas area with my husband, where we wait hand and foot on three cats and two dogs who allow us to live with them.

My fans are great! Theyâ€™re enthusiastic about my books and keep me revved up when the writing gets tough.

I want everyone to read my books . . . well, maybe not anyone whoâ€™s ultra-conservative and doesnâ€™t like sex, mayhem, woo-woo spiritual stuff, and elements like heroes who are half reptile. Those people might not appreciate my quirky plots.

Iâ€™d love to be friends with anyone whoâ€™s open minded, cares about the Earth, and enjoys a good book. I donâ€™t meet many strangers.
