Hi all..Im Racky, currently a resident dj at Lingards Nightclub in Bradford. Ive been playing at the venue for over two year. Below is short write up about myself so if youd like to take the time out to read it then do so.. sound!.Having spent most of his early teenage years being in and out of the clubs Racky began to take a keen interest in djing. Watching the likes of Marc Leaf, Mark Howarth, Paul Rough at work was enough for him to want to persue what was to start off as a hobby but has now seen him play many venues in England.Since the age of 15 Racky was heavily involved in the 2 step garage scene, traveling to clubs all over England to be part of the vibe. Localy there was a sound being created and was begining to be heard in many small venues, but only in cities such as Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Birmingham. The sound was speed garage!. From ragga samples.. to sirens.. big warping basslines, the energy the music created was madness, he was instantly hooked. Racky found himself hunting down literaly any venue that played this music and took himself to them to experience the vibe first hand.The Niche in Sheffield was this musics home.. the place where it all started but the likes of Casa Locos (Leeds) and the Boilerhouse (Bradford) were more to Rackys suiting as they were the locals and with them being local you got to know the crowd.. they became his second home. Racky spent weeks upon weeks at the "boiler" or "casas" .. a real regular and friendships with the clubs djs were formend and his interest in djing began. Firstly it started with getting to know the tracks by there names, asking for requests, that then went on to watching how the djs played technicaly and making note. By the age of 19 he had gone from being stood in the boilerhouse dj box asking for tunes to having people ask him for them.. hed made the step and was playing out.Since then Racky has played numorous clubs across Bradford, Leeds, Yorkshire and in 2007 played at club Bora Bora in Magaluf. He has gone from guest slots at venues and monthlys to gaining his main residency with Lingards (the biggest bassline weekly in yorkshire) .. the ONLY place in Bradford to be playing!!!.Couple of known local bassline/4-4 venues played to date..Lingards (Bradford)
