Rachael Magidson

JAZZ VOCALS, TRUMPET, FLUGELHORN, and PERCUSSION

About Me

Where does she come from? A descendant of Herb Magidson,
composer of Tiptoe Through the Tulips and Gone With the Wind?
Nope...apparently the last name came from a passport
stolen in Russia in the early 1900s.
Illigitimate daughter of Jim Aton, who played with Anita Oday?
He claims her as his daughter but wrong again!

Rachael's real last name is Hiefetz, maybe a relation to the famous
russian violinist? Who knows?
At any rate music definately creates a tie to all those
mentioned above, the love of music.
Rachael is a self taught musician who has been playing professionally
since 1998. She plays many instruments but concentrates mainly
on vocals and the trumpet. Her favorite repertoire is the great
american songbook. She also enjoys writing arrangements
for various groups.
She plays both in France and in San Francisco
so come and catch a show!
