About Me
Hello there!
Good to have you here and thanks for visiting my page.
I'm excited to be able to share a part of my life with you and
hope in some way or another you will enjoy it.
I'm a 66 year old guy (don't let the age fool you) with a
passion for Renaissance Faires. I started going to them
in 1975 and have been going to them off and on ever since.
I moved to Broken Arrow in 2001 after being separated
from my daughter for about 35 years and now my whole
family, including me, my x-wife, my daughter and son-in-
law and sometimes my granddaughter and two great
granddaughters go as well.
Our home faire is the Oklahoma Renaissance Faire at the
Castle (Castleton) of Muskogee, OK. Every year we also
try to make it to The faire in Norman, OK, Scarlet's
Mid-Winter Festival in Ok City, Scarborough
Faire in Texas, The Texas Renaissance Fair, and the
Kansas City Renaissance Faire.
When I started going to the faires in Ok. I originally went
as a demented and slightly lascivious monk but I had so
many people calling me Gandalf I decided to change my
persona. My daughter and I both did a massive amount of
research on Galdalf's garb and she dyed all the cloth and
worked her fingers near to the bone making the pattern,
cutting the cloth,sewing it all together and even adding the
embroidery. My Gandalf character has been well received
at all the faires I have been to, not just by the wonderful
people that attend the faires but especially by the cast
and vendors at Castleton and Scarborough.
I really hope to see all the wonderful people I have met on
MySpace at one or the other of the faires that we go to if
they can find the time and bare the gas prices.
