____________________________ Comienza con siete años a tocar la guitarra española, recibiendo clases de dos maestros, Don Antidio y Mikel Rodrigo. A los catorce años se incia en el aprendizaje de la guitarra electrica de forma autodidacta y tomando como modelo a los mejores guitarristas, continua aprendiendo. Llega a formar parte de varias bandas y empieza a componer sus propias canciones, entre ellas “la primera”, con la que se da a conocer. A los 18 años de edad graba su primera maqueta “la primera”, es invitado a tocar en el concurso “villa de Bilbao”, y consigue un segundo puesto en el concurso de maquetas Adagio en Barcelona, patrocinado por las revistas Guitar Player y Keyboard entre otras. Un año mas tarde, graba su segunda maqueta “turn this radio on”, la presenta en directo en el guitar player club (Barcelona), y actua en el Show Bike ciudad de Sestao (vizcaya), continua tocando en diversas salas acompañado por su hermano Mikel Rodrigo al bajo, y el genial bateria Javi Ruano .A los 24 años firma su primer contrato discografico con el sello Evolution Records editando asi su primer disco “Robert R. Rodrigo”.Continua tocando en conciertos compartiendo cartel con grupos como Baron Rojo, Paco Ventura (Medina Azahara), Platero y tu etc….. En enero del 2002 se crea una nueva banda Airless , y Robert entra a formar parte de ella. No tardan en fichar por la compañía Vinny Records, y sacan su disco debut “Airless”en junio de ese mismo año, producido por Carlos Creador y distribuido por toda Europa, Canada y Japon. Un año mas tarde entran a formar parte de un doble cd recopilatorio “Singing To The World”, en memoria de las personas fallecidas en el atentado de las torres gemelas. En este doble cd tambien participan gente como Jason Becker, Tesla, Bonie Tyler, Doro, Paul Gilbert, Paul Nelson, Kane Roberts, Jimmy Hendrix y un largo etc…..este cd se distribuye por todo el mundo. Siguen tocando en directo junto a bandas como Tyketto, Harem Scarem, Danny Vaughn o Rosendo.En agosto del 2005, Robert firma un contrato con la marca de instrumentos Ibanez pasando a ser endorser de la misma.y Airless saca a la venta su segundo cd “2nd round” editado por la compañía filandesa Lion Music, una de las mas grandes e importantes en la industria del rock. En ese mismo año Airless presenta su album en directo por diversas ciudades y taloneando a grupos como Dare o Riot. En septiembre del 2006 Robert graba una cancion “Space Antz” junto al productor y guitarrista Carlos Creator y el tema pasa a formar parte del album “The Alchemists 2”, en el participan guitarristas de talla mundial y es editado por la nueva compañía Inglesa “Liquid not records” En Marzo del 2007 es invitado a participar en el 10 aniversario de la sala Bilborock,, en el que toca en directo junto a diversos artistas( Kepa Junkera, Idi Biotz, Gris Perla etc…) dicho evento sera grabado y editado. En el 2007 Robert saca su segundo cd en solitario “Half Finger On The Moon”, un album instrumental de guitarra. En M ayodel 2008 es fichado por DIMARZIO para ser Endorser y tambien para ORANGE AMPLIFIERS y en junio es distribuido y promocionado por Grroveyard Records En EEUU =================================================== The story beggins when at the age of 7 he started playing the Spanish Guitar under the guidance of his two masters, Don Antidio and Mikel Rodrigo.At the age of 14 started with the electric guitar being self-thaught and taking as model the best guitar players follows up his learning.When he was 18, the first demo tape was recorded, called "La Primera" (The First) which made him play in the "Villa de Bilbao" music contest, as well as the Adagio Demo contest from Barcelona, which is sponsored by Guitar Player and Keyboard magazines and where he his demo is awarded with the second price.One year later, he recorded his second demo, titled: "Turn This Radio On". This demo drives him to the Guitar player Club in Barcelona and to theFantasy Show Bike in Sestao (Bizkaia). Afterwards he continues playing in a couple of venues along with his brother Mikel Rodrigo on the bass and the drum genius Javi Ruano.At the age of 24 hi signs his first record contract with a label called Evolution Records and his first album "Robert R. Rodrigo" came along.Greater shows came after that and he had the chance to share stage with Baron Rojo, Paco Ventura (Medina Azahara), Platero y Tu among others.A new band, Airless is created in January 2002 and Robert joins them as guitar player. The contract with Vinny Records comes soon and after it, theSelf titled album in June produced by Carlos Creator and distributed across the whole Europe, Canada and Japan.One year later, the band appears on a worldwide distributed compilation record called "Singing to the Wold", dedicated to the memory of the people who died in the S11 terrorist attack. In this album we can also find songs from Jason Becker, Tesla, Doro, Paul Gilber, Paul Nelson, Jimmi Hendrix and many more.Their live career continues and that play with bands such as Tyketto, Harem Scarem, Danny Vaughn or Rosendo.In August 2005 Robert signs a contract with “Ibanez guitars” which makes him endorser of the firm and Airless publish their second album, entitled "2nd Round" under the finish company Lion Music, one of the big ones in the Rock industry.In the very same year, Airless launch their first Live album and play as support act for Dare and Riot in several cities.In September 2006 Robert joins Carlos Creator to record "Space Antz" which appears in "The Alchemists 2", where there also involved well known guitar players for worldwide. Finally the album was published by Liquid Not Records Company.In March 2007, Robert is invited to play in the in the 10th anniversary party of Bilborock venue along with Kepa Junkera, Idi Bihotz, Gris Perla and others. The show was filmed for a further DVDIn2007 Robert has just finished recording his second solo instrumental album: "Half Finger On The Moon",In May 2008 is Endorser by DiMarzio Pickups and ORANGE amplifiers, and juny 2008 distributed and promoted by Grroveyard Records In the U.S
