Guitar solos to throw out
My name is Israel but everybody call me Isra or just Is. I have 3 great hobbies in my life: Bikes, sharks and very specially the guitar. Regarding bikes I have to give special thanks to my girlfriend. She was the one who transmitted me her great passion for them. In fact, at the present time I can say I am crazy for bikes and specialy for VALENTINIK.
About my passion for sharks everything started when I was a little boy. My father got the brilliant idea to take me to the premier of the movie “Jaws”, and instead of being scared of sharks I became addicted to them, so : Thanks Dad!. Last but not least (but even more!), there is the guitar. I always liked rock, all kind of rock. But very specially the world of the 6 strings. Anyway, it was not until a group of friends proposed me to take part of a band called "Looking Force" that I stuck to guitar for the first time. I have always regretted to begin when I was 18 to play the guitar. But it is better late than never!. With Looking Force we did not record any good demo tape, but we recorded a song in studio and thanks to this, we played in the live event “MERCAT DE MUSICA VIVA DE VIC”. I still remember when the company PICAP (a Catalonian record label who promoted Catalonian bands as Sangtraït, Sopa de Cabra, etc...) proposed to us to record with them. The condition was to do it in Catalan language. May be, it is not a big thing for most of people, but for a group of good friends who just wanted to have fun doing covers of Iron Maiden and also trying to compose own songs similar to Dream Theater (How naive!), it was a very big success. We did it this way, because some years after band dissolved, a few members wanted to have some kind of memory. Nowadays, I am a member of FIREDEPT (formerly Blue Moon and Promised Land too) , this is a project that I started with one of my best friends, Juan, who was the singer in “Looking Force”. The purpose was to go on playing here and there, but with a more accessible style to people and to my limitations! Because, I did not tell it before, but I’m self-thought, therefore your expectations about me should not be too high…please!
