Radek, Dressman & Jaxx @ Greenhouse 17.05.08
..Already in the 80s DJ Fox showed great interest in spinning the vinyls. Several gigs followed and in 1992 he opened his own club and started organizing parties.
He would not abide by the hyped electronic mainstream of the 90s and that is when he decided to change style towards house with all its facet.
It was 1998 when he made first contact with Brandenburg-Allstars, DJ Base in particular. This lead to organizing first bigger techno parties including „Spring Spirit“ and „Housegeschichten“ (Suburb Club Dahlewitz) in 1999.
With the new century having approached, Fox withdrew from this established location to get to know other clubs as well.
The idea of organizing his own party theme Fox had in October 1998 hence „Greenhouse“ was born. Ever since these events took place in the South of Berlin in cozy and neatly arranged locations, with special decoration and remarkable house tunes.
Nowadays Fox is also well-known in Berlin inspiring his audience at huge events such as „Recombination“ (Reinbekhallen and Arena/Glashaus), „Smash the Silende“ (Metronom Club), as well as at smaller clubs such as Geburtstagsklub or Delicious Doughnuts.
Despite his grown fame in the city’s party scene the Southern suburbs of Berlin remain his terrain and that is where he especially loves to have a blast.
Amongst his event references are „Summer Spirit“, „Konversion One“(Niedergörsdorf), „Sonne-Mond-Sterne-Festival“ (Saalburg), „Melt“ (Ferropolis), „Groofest“ (Massow).
Clubs he played at as guest-DJ are Lindenpark, Waschhaus (Potsdam), HDV (Dahme), Fuse Club (Massow), Haus der Offiziere, 404 (Wünsdorf), and Shoot-Club (Delitzsch).
In 2003, together with Sonar vs. Aybee, DJ Fox released his first vinyl „Greenhouse E.P..
A regular Fox became for the annual Brandenburg-Allstars’ „Summer Spririt“ compilation. In collaboration with Sonar and Viermalair he has released several songs for the same.
His second vinyl release is planned for 2007.....
