About Me

"I need no warrant for being, and no word of sanction upon my being. I am the warrant and the sanction."

My Interests

playing, cool looking clouds, feeling adventurous, cappuccino froth-making machines, the cheesy gossip magazines in grocery stores that I (usually) feel too dignified to purchase, deconstructing the cultural nomos, day dreaming, catching myself day dreaming, doodling, meaningful quotes, paradoxes, the genius required to properly prepare 'eggs and buppy,' psychology, philosophy, and existential angst, buddhism, the wonderful ambiguity of my future, "how stuff works," moving music, how to reconcile growing up with never feeling 'grown up,' science and art, architecture, the way (non-smelly) things smell, good conversation, writing, running, cooking (but only if I'm making it up as I go along), travel, anything creative (from crayon art to ceramics to poetry...), environment/nature, history, some politics, EVERYTHING. At some point though, I would like to learn another language, an instrument, and visit exotic places (AFRICA! YEAH!) Just 90% more to go!

I'd like to meet:

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. (e.e.cummings)so... FIGHTERS!Also, this guy:

Music:

Extra eclectic...80's (classic, alternative...just not the high-pitched screamy stuff), Jimmy Eat World, Incubus, Fenix tx, Brand New, Jealous Sound, U2, Blink182 (in a completely non-teenie bop way), almost any song that makes good use of "oooooo"'s, some classical, anything I can dance to, those fun videos on the India channel...just off the top of my head - oh but ixnay on the country ::shivers:: Current Songs that seem to inspire COMPULSIVE karaoke include: foo fighters - the best, end of fashion - o yeah, stereophonics - Dakota, Pluto: Long White Cross

Movies:

Alright... you know when you have all of these childhood classics in mind and then you watch them again and it's horribly disillusioning? Me too. Thus, this update: Garden State, Eternal Sunshine, Bridget Jones 1 & 2 (probably one of those "guilty pleasure" movies you aren't supposed to admit to liking but oh well...) Stand by Me, Goonies, Sandlot, John Cusak classics...and of course (still) all 6 hours of Pride and Prejudice...or rather the extended DVD version that's really more like 6 1/2 hours. Quality... LOLOLOL 'BRIDE' AND PREJUDICE (you watch it, and you'll be LOLOLing too...)..

Television:

Booo!

Books:

dabbling between "When God was a Woman," "Positive Energy," and various works by Osho

Heroes:

me (and my mom...fighters);"...50% of "reality" is CRAP!" - my Nana

and most definitely...
ma moitie.

I just like this. 2 kudos from me, DL.
