Hello everyone - here's some info about us and our music:Ali Baba is an oriental urban music orchestra based in Veles, central Macedonia, a city of diverse cultural influences and rich history. The band was formed in 2005 by two friends and local musicians - Efturum, Mavin, Serafedin and clarinet player Azad who is younger player. Our musical style was shaped by our family's (Macevi family) rich musical tradition and culture of Roma society in Macedonia.The best way to hear and feel this music is by listening to it in the original gypsy urban setting - with people walking by, mixed with the sounds of the city. Music such as this is rarely being recorded in professional studios and is mostly played on the gypsy streets by local musical bands. We hope the world will hear this, to most people, unknown and unusual music style and support us in our search for publishers and producers.
